The Space Penguins continue! I’ve just finished the art for book 4, the image above is from book 3.

Illustration can be a lonely business, so it’s amazing to hear from people who like your work, especially kids! I was really happy today to hear from a mother whose 7-year-old son is a big Space Penguin fan, and I was over the moon to hear I may have inspired him. Look at this great penguin he’s drawn! He’s destined for big things.

I’m even told he’s doing a show and tell about me!?

Josh can expect a signed book and some extra goodies in the post very soon. He has plenty more penguin adventures to read about over the next year!

I recently moved into the A-Side B-Side studios in Hackney, and I don’t remember ever doing so much decent work! Seriously think I’ve improved in the 2 days I’ve been working there, and it’s great to come home and be tired in the evenings. Space Penguins!

Hey everyone, check it out! I illustrated these books, written by L A Courtenay, and they’re real!

Space Penguins is a series about four intrepid flightless birds and the adventures (and battles) they have. In space. It’s been incredibly fun to work on, but how can anything involving robot seals and fish spaceships not be?

The country is being battered by snow at the moment, and would you believe it I live in the exact area that’s got it worst. A rare “red warning” has been issued for the area I live, which means likely blizzards and 30cm of snow. No unnecessary journeys for me, oh drat.
